Shibas and Children

So, my brother in law and his stepson were here tonight and we had Sully out and Mikey put away (to reduce jelousy fighting). His stepson loved Sully and it was so nice, Sully does not jump on children he only jumps up on adults. Sully also sits by children and watches them. Has anyone else expericed their shibas taking to children? Wanting to be near the children and refusing to jump up on them? Sully has done this with multiple kids and I find it interesting since we have no children. Strange.....

So, I was reminicing about when Sully was a puppy and Kevin and I decided to go and get a Shiba Inu. We were newly dating and Kevin decided he wanted a dog. So, of course I wanted him to get one and Kevin let me help him pick out a Shiba. We stopped by the breeder and she brought us the last little puppy left to see, and this is what we saw:

I mean how can anyone say no to that chubby little bear, of course we wanted him and he wanted us too. I even bought Sully a sweater for his homecomming as it was a chilly October day (Note: He only wore said sweater once). Here is that fateful day:

Don't you just miss having that little shiba puppy in your life? I know I do!!

P.S. Mikey was adorable as well, no sweater though, I learned my lesson with Sully that the Shiba will NOT wear that horrid thing, they are much to sophisticated for such nonesense. LOL.

Summertime!!

So its offically summertime here in OH-IO and its me and Mikey's favorite time of year. We get to hang out outside all day, and we get to go camping and hiking with Mom and Dad. I also like to go to the park everyday with Mom for our walk, and look at all the squirles. Mikey tries to catch the squirrels but I am smart enough to know I am on a leash and cant reach them. Well anyways Mom took some more recent pics of us and here they are:

So, Mom and Dad are offically married. They had a great time on their honeymoon or so they told me, I didnt get to go and it was sad. I was at grandma and grandpa's for the week but they keep us in a really big kennel most of the time so it was kinda boring, but none the less cool to be outside bathing in the sun so much :) I missed Mom and Dad though ALOT! Here are some pics from their wedding, which I didnt get to go to either. Oh well though I got pampered at the doggy salon when they got home though :) I LOVE going to the doggy salon, but Mikey hates it. He hates it so much that he "shiba screams" the entire time and messes with my flirting with the stylists. He is so immature. Oh well. Im so happy for mom and dad and glad that we are all one big happy family now!!

So... Mom and Dad have been soo busy preparing for the wedding that is finally after one year of planning HERE!! They are so excited and Mom said she has an important job interview on Wed with the only company in Toledo that is doing well right now! So we need to wish her luck!! Good luck Mommy!! But I cant wait for Mom and Dad to be married they seem to be soo happy about it.

Hello there everybody, it has been soo long since we updated!! That is primarily becuase Mom and Dad needed a new camera to take pics of me and Mikey. But now Mom and Dad have a brand new camera, and the first thing Mom did was take a pic of my wonderful face :). Mom and Dad are going to be "married" in 30 days...I dont know what that means but they sure are excited about it. I also know that they will be gone for a looong time afterwards and I cant go along. Im so mad, I could use a vacation too Mom. Im such a hard worker. Here is me in action, Im a good nap taker:

Well Kitty is still annoying and Mikey is still weird! He's not as sophisticated as I am! But Mom says he is fine just the way he is, I dont know about all that. Anyways here are some more pics Mom took of us during nap time.

Wow! We have been sooo busy lately. Mommy finally got some good news, that she got into graduate school and is currently studying at the University of Toledo College of Medicine to get her Masters of Science in Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety- Industrial Hygiene and she LOVES it. Mom and Dads wedding is comming fast, and we cant wait for winter to be over. We HATE WINTER. its cold, we dont want to go for walks, and its cold!! but mom says it will be over soon enough and then we will be moving again to a HUGE house!! YAY more room to run around and wrestle with Mikey.

So, Mommy is going through a though time she told me she lost her job...but she said it would be okay because she is going to graduate school in the spring so she can get a really good job some day!! But I love having her home with me allll day...we get extra walks and more treats :)

We also were models the other day in mommy and daddys engagement photos and it was so fun...mom told us we looked really good in our pictures so we will post those pics soon...

hmm well its been pretty boring lately I am going to get Mikey and look for the cat lol

Kitty Cat

So i just realized that I never blogged about they boys' sister. Well here she is folks the one and only Magnesium "Maggie" aka "Kitty." She is a Persian cat we rescued from the humane society in April. She was a cruelty confiscation but you'd never know it, and the boys love her. And she loves them. She is so full of personality, and spunk!! And best of all she is such a mama's girl. She sleeps next to me, and comes running when i say "kitty". She also LOVES to be brushed lol. We have the best animals!!

Hey there!! There is so much for us to tell everyone about. Mom and Dad took us to see the place where they are going to get married. Its at a cool park so we had a picnic and walked down to it. Wildwood Metropark is the name of the place. Well here are some handsome photos of me and my brother at the wedding site :) And a few others just for fun!!

It is time!

Oh boy oh boy, it has come to be that time in a young shiba boys life where he gets "F-I-X-E-D" He just looks so happy, he has no idea what is to become of him in the next week or so. Oh poor Mikey. Lol, well i dont think he will mind too much, Sully bounced back from the dreaded surgery in like 3 hours. I just feel like my baby is growing up oh so quickly!!! I guess they cant stay babies for forever.

Finally Settled In

So we are finally all settled in to our new home...and guess what???!!!??? Daddy gave Mommy a big shiny ring on one of our walks through the slippery elm trail...they are so happy and keep saying they are going to get married!! well im happy if they are....i love them they are my favorite hoomans...anyways I am going to dog training classes to get more socilization becuase im not so sure around other dogs....and Mikey isnt much of a dog haha just kidding...well anyways its been a crazy time around here lately with the engagement and Mom's graduation comming up...stay tuned for more of my updates!!!

Moooving Day

So today is the big day for all of us. Mom is graduating from college soon, and her and Dad (who already gradgitated) are finally moving in together!! Mikey and I, will ALWAYS be together now and I am not so sure thats a good thing. We have a nice new place that i really like. There is a back patio and we have doggie tie outs now, so we can spend more time outside with Mom while she fixes her plant boxes up for us to destroy :) Hmm well I had better get to getting in the way and trying to make Mom and Dad mad haha....

soooo guess where we went today?!!?!! To my most favoritest place in the world. City Park!!!!!!!! Mom took lotsa pictures...and Sully and I played, ate sticks, and pooped there :) It was the most fun I have had since well..last time we went to City Park. So here are the pics Mom took:

We've Got a Case of the Mondays!!

And that they do...Sully and Mikey are both kinda grumpy today. This morning when it was Mikey's turn to go out and potty he decided he would rather not and go back to sleep, and of course an hour later attempt to go in the house. That's a Shiba for you though, they dont do anything unless they want to. But Mikey was scolded, and he wasnt very happy about it. He's still little yet so we have some accidents, not regularly but probably once a week or two. He will get better though he is still only 3 and 1/2 months old. Sully of course didnt really take much intrest in the matter and resumed his nap as usual. Oh my lazy Shibas lol. Well I ought to get off to class, I hope they are good until Kevin gets home from work, its nap time thankfully.

Today Mom and Dad took us to the outdoor mall...which was sooooo much fun. We walked all around and everyone kept stopping us and telling us how cute we were. Most people wanted to know what kind of dogs we were and where they could get one of us. But we know we are one of a kind ;) We only made it once around the outdoor mall in over an hour because everyone wanted to see us. And we love to greet people. We just wish Mom had brought the camera, cause it was really cool!!! After that we were so tired and I (Sully) took my usual spot in the back widow of the Altima an fell asleep while Mikey slept on Mom all the way home. Here are some random pics of my and my little bro... arent we cute??!!??

So, today was a quite a day at the shiba circus that is our townhouse. Mikey pooped in the house and he isnt supposed to, and then bum bum bum.........HE ATE IT!!!!!!! It was disgusting, but i looked it up online and everything i read says he will be okay as long as it wasnt another dogs who had worms or any other communicable disease. And of course Sully just layed there and watched while i said OMG NO!! It would have been pretty funny, if it weren't my dog lol. Sully is currently looking out the window sending out warning barks as people walk by outside. He does a short "Brwuff, Brrrrwuff" He is such a silly dog. Well thats all for today...more pics after the weekend we are going on a picnic and on some hiking trails, the boys should looove it cause i know Kevin and I will. We love the outdoors!!! :)

A few weeks ago, we welcomed little Mike Wazowski into our home. Sully seemed a little miffed at first but now the two shiba inu boys ages 10 months and 3 months are inseparable. Sully has showed Mikey all the tricks on how to get up to give him treats. Mikey has even picked up the "high five" trick for treats and toys. Sully has also began to share his coveted window seat with the little guy. Here are some pics of the two being brothers and making trouble.
